Mock-Heroic
The mock-heroic is a style in which a heroic manner is adopted to make a trivial subject seem grand in such a way as to satirize the style. Commonly used in burlesque and parody.
Example:
The Nun's Priest's Tale
(
The Canterbury Tales)
